Kaka的小脑瓜子

今天特别热, Kaka不太肯出去嘘嘘. 只好抱他下去, 下去一放到太阳地里就撒丫子跑到远处墙根的阴影底下, 也不尿, 直接就躺下了, 我就只好远远地看着他, 大概三秒钟后, 他看出我在等他, 想了一下, 爬起来, 飞快的尿了一泡, 就跑回来径直上楼了.

他一进车子就把鼻子凑到空调风口,然后在那里一动不动等我开空调, 开开来吹了一会儿出凉风了他就好高兴, 摇头晃脑, 还试图咬空调风, 用爪子打空调风. 车里有个吹响后座的空调口, 他还喜欢直接把头枕在那个口上.也不管姿势有多别扭.
今天早上我说了一句睡觉觉, 他就自己跑到大crate里面去了. 好乖的样子. 其实他是喜欢那个硬底的大crate. 中午他又叼我的鞋子, 我就骂他, 你是不是又想睡觉觉(意思是关笼子里),结果他立马叼着鞋子往crate里面跑, 气得我.

Kaka's new trick

If you don't want him to chew something and give him his toy to chew instead, he would keep chewing the toy and gradually approach the stuff you don't want him to chew until he is so close to that stuff that you won't be able to tell if he is chewing the toy or the stuff you don't want him to chew, and then he will switch.

I bought a bigger crate for him last evening. After I put his bed in it, he tried to drag it out.
He now learned to look at the door to let people know he wants to go out to do the business.

毛越来越长了. 他现在知道要等ok才能吃饭. 知道heel.也基本会retrieve了.

今天中午临走前带他去嘘嘘. 他一开始不肯出来, 我把他抱下楼, 他一溜烟就跑到高墙的阴影下面, 在那里撒了一泡, 然后我叫他回来, 他看看他和我之间的大片太阳地, 很是迟疑了一会儿才鼓足勇气全速跑回我这边的阴影..

Kaka accident again

昨天晚上自己疯玩了一阵就一蹲屁股就开尿了. 我等着他犯错呢.立马训斥同时拎出去.
不过让我生气的时,回来以后就彻底发疯, 咬我的裤子, 喝止不成, 被我关到crate里面, 在里面还不老实, 打滚, 还怪叫(不是那种哭). 搞笑的是边打滚边叫. 关了半小时老实了, 我放出来, 他就开始卖乖, 又舔我, 然后我们出去walk,他也很配合.
这个家伙真的就像一个调皮小孩.

kaka 很乖

昨天晚上和来party的coworker疯玩了一会儿, 后来就累了.
早上睡到7点我醒的时候看到他也醒了. 他现在就是醒了想出来也不叫. 大概是他知道只要他在叫我是不会放他出来的. 这个他学得挺快.
现在早上都是我起来带他去go potty, 然后放回crate, 我去洗澡, 洗完出来之后再放他出来. 然后我收拾收拾, 他还没完全睡醒, 就在跟着我旁边卧着. 然后喂早饭, 吃完出去walk 20分钟+ 玩5分钟, 带回来再回去睡觉.
他现在walk的不错, 每次往出走的时候都能保持pace, 回来的时候喜欢跑到前面, 我就得总把它拽回来确保他知道保持pace.

Kaka slept thru the night the first time

Kaka had his second shot. He loved the vet place, and wouldn't leave.
Found some powerful chewing toys, which kept Kaka busy for a good hour or so.
Put him to bed around 12:45, and we both slept thru until 7:00am yah!!!
At the no bite training side, he is slowing making progress after I punished him by putting him into crate a couple of times.

update

回到费城. 连续两个晚上都是睡到6点左右才醒, 嘘嘘玩了放回去很快就睡了.
不过今天早上我洗澡的时候没有看着他, 结果...let me put it this way, I won't let him kiss me for quite a while.
现在我们让他在外面的时间多了, 因此也增多了accident的机会, 要控制一下了.

good progress again this weekend.

昨天一天确认了他现在可以最多可以撑到5个小时嘘嘘一次.也就是说我只用中午回去一次就可以了.
昨天晚上12点临睡前(之前带他嘘嘘)还让他喝了一点点水, 结果早上5点40天亮了他才把我叫醒.

Kaka's trip to NYC

He was anxious at the beginning, then relaxed a bit after I started to use my mood to influence him.
During the night, he wasn't quiet in the crate. I thought it was due to the new environment, but after I feed him some water in the early morning, he immediate became quiet in the crate. Yes, he is smart, not delicate, if he cries he cries for a reason.
He is quite popular in NYC. Many people greeted him and even played with him a bit. He has no problem adjusting to this totally new environment.
Mickey is clearly not happy, hiding in the bedroom. Coco is cautiously curious. She is sitting on the back of the chair right above the crater watching Kaka.

5th Night

12点pee了一次就一直到5点左右才醒, 也没有叫,就是哼唧. 不过我醒了, 上了个厕所, 结果他就不安生了.我等他安静下来之后带他去嘘嘘, 然后就一直睡到7:20闹钟把我闹醒了. 我还挺高兴, 结果早上洗澡的时候他通过电线把手机拽下来, 然后把我耳机上面的橡胶套给吃了一个, 咬破另外一个. 好在这个东西不是很贵, 14块钱可以买5对. 这个家伙没有人看着一秒钟都不行, 但我早上想让他多在crate外面呆呆, 就一个小时, 就得回去睡觉了.
现在对training有了点新的领悟, 对于制止要坚持, 强度由小变大, 直到他自己纠正为止. 比如他咬家具, 先说no, 如果继续就加重语气, 如果再继续就要开始拎着colar摇了. 这个效果比说no然后用手把他推开好. 也不必什么小事都纠正, 他只是个baby, 但要纠正的话就得坚持到底.

小家伙现在不太愿意回crate了, 在里面他也不哭, 就是你要是站在crate旁边叫他过来,他就会瞪着你看,很警惕, 就是不过来, 抱起来放进去的话就总想出来(不像之前你放进去他就趴下了) 但是你关上门他在里面也很乖. 我觉得是因为他现在得一个人呆在里面三个多小时, 不happy, 之前每次都是一两个小时, 而且人就在旁边.
我中午两点一回去第一件事就是带他去嘘嘘, 嘘嘘完了回去吃饭, 吃完饭了出来poop, 这两次他都很配合, 然后他在家里自己玩, 我吃午饭. 吃完饭陪他稍微玩一下, 我就再带他下楼嘘嘘, 希望这样他下午坚持时间稍微长一点, 这次他就不是很配合, 站在水泥路上不肯下草坪, 瞪着我看, 明显在说,你这样不make sense, 我才嘘嘘过. 我就看他, 说就嘘嘘一下把. 他看着我可能觉得拗不过我, 就下草地了, 随便pee了一下了事, 就往回家跑.
他有点怕朝着马路的那边, 每次我往那边走(有的时候仍便便,或者去walk) 他会停在那里不肯走, 看着我. 这个时候如果我硬拉它会继续倔, 但如果我看看他, 说没事, common, 然后在自己往前走,他就会跟过来, 然后我就使劲夸他. 他好像也挺高兴.在里面走得话, 除非它累了, 一般都挺带劲, 我还会突然跑起来, 他就跑着跟过来, 可好玩.

4th night.

We managed to get up only once last night. Kaka woke up around 3am and I think we could sleep more before the night break, so we waited until 3:50am. He did his business then. He was not as nice as usual when I put him back in the crater but we went to sleep in about 10 minutes. 6 oclock he tried to wake me up once but I said no, not time yet. He woke me again on 7am. Then business as usual. We are definitely improving but I am starting to feel the lack of sleeping too. Hopefully we can start having all night sleep soon.
I found that his favorite chewing toy is the bullstick. He chews this one the longest.

3rd Day and night

Kaka and I went to the Vet the 3rd day, where the doctor said he is in great shape.
He graduated from the crate training and did pretty good so far in the house breaking program.
I intentionally being away from him for a couple of hours during the day and he did just fine in the crater.
In the night, he did his business around 1am and then woke up around 3am but I ignored him until 5am. 6:45am we both got up. He is playing right now behind me.

Second night

Kaka slept quietly in the crater most of the night the second night. He woke up at 3am and 5am, and I took him out for a bit walk. He didn't poop either time though.
Then he woke up 7am in the morning and I first took him out for a little pee and come back. Then I took shower wake up and so on while he played by himself. I then fed him and he ate well. Immediately after he finish the bowl I took him out for the poop and he did that pretty well too (within 3 minutes of the meal). Then we had a half hour walk. He is a bit tired at the end of the walk. Back into the crate and start sleeping.
Now if I put him in the crate and ask him to sleep he would lie down a bit but soon want to get out again. but if I shut the crater door he would almost immediately lie down and I would praise him. Then he would go to sleep pretty fast.
What a wonderful boy.

second day

Today is the day with smooth progress.
On the crate training side, he seems to deem that spot his sleeping spot now and will normally goto sleep if we put him in even if he can't see us. We tried move the crater away from the bed but that didn't work out well.
It looks like we are making progress on No Bite too today. He would back off from biting when we say No Bite without squeezing.
We found out that he would like to dig a bit in the crater then go to sleep. Don't know why yet.
We also started to enforce the schedule today, so far so good, no accident and peed/pooped on schedule (except that I hoped he would poop before bed but I gave up after 5 minutes). Now he is in the crater sleeping don't know when he is going to wake me up yet.

Kaka's first day

We officially adopted a golden retrieve yesterday and his name is Kaka.
We'll start blogging about this guy to share experience as well as prolong memory.
Kaka did finally eat last night. The way he ate is a bit funny though. He would pick the food out of the bowl and eat it aside and then come back to the bowl for more. He is still doing a bit that during the breakfast this morning but it looks like he will eat normally eventually.
We did some crate training yesterday by gradually increasing the time of confining him in the crate and it seems working. I just put him into the crate right after a little play and he calmly went to sleep.
On the housebreaking side, he did poop 8:30 last night after he ate the dinner. That time we noticed that he was behaving weird and took him out. He woke up a couple of times during the night, I walked him twice in the night and he did pee but not poop. I guess we were just too tired and deep in the sleep the second part of the night. We were woke up by him around 5:30am and found some poop right out side the crater ( he must have found a creative way to do that). Tonight I am going to set the alarm around 5am to give him a walk.
I am not sure about the progress on the "No Bite" training yet. but I think that will work out eventually.
Overall he's been a really really good boy so far, and we are making satisfying progress on our end too. I think his energy level matches us pretty well.
